Choose characters
First of all, Volta mode appeared, dedicated to street football, which replaced the story campaign about Alex Hunter and his friends. Volta starts with character creation. In street football, there are no gender-separated teams, and you can freely play as a guy or a girl. At almost any time, you are free to change this parameter in the personalization menu. Since I didn’t manage to make a character that looked like myself, I decided to go the other way and play as a girl. The built-in editor allows you to create generally likable characters, but during close-ups, you can still see that the quality of study is inferior to pre-prepared football players, especially in terms of facial animation.
Gameplay
The gameplay is well refreshed thanks to the new conditions in which the matches take place. There are several modes and they all differ in the number of players. The team can be from three to five people. In some variants of the game, a full-fledged goalkeeper can be on the field, but in most modes the match takes place without him. In such fights, one of the players will always be at the gate, blocking the opponent’s opportunity to hit.
The platforms themselves have different sizes and dimensions of the gate. This greatly affects the gameplay. For example, on a field with closed edges, shots and passes with rebounds from the walls can be counted. Depending on the number of players and the size of the arena, duels can be more spectacular or more tactical. Moving through the story, the main character gains experience and improves his skills. There is a skill tree, and by pumping one or another branch, the hero gets additional opportunities.
